💰 Brunson's Game 1 Finals Jersey Sells for Over $1 Million
The Knicks championship memorabilia market is STILL on fire.
A jersey worn by Jalen Brunson during Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals sold at Sotheby's for $1,024,000 after a 70-bid war on Wednesday. That makes it the most expensive Brunson collectible ever, the most expensive Knicks collectible of any kind, and the highest price ever paid for a jersey through NBA Auctions.
The jersey, authenticated by PSA, is photo-matched to Game 1 in San Antonio, where Brunson dropped 14 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Knicks to a 105-95 win.
The Finals memorabilia haul didn't stop there. In all, 15 Knicks jerseys worn during or issued for Game 1 netted $1,868,416 at auction. Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby both sold for $256,000. Josh Hart's jersey went for $89,600.
His card market is running hot too. Someone paid $312,000 for his 1/1 Prizm rookie after the Finals, up from $300 in 2019. That's a 103,900% return.

You're already spending like a business. Time to get paid like one.
If you're buying cards, paying for grading, covering table fees, or stocking inventory, you know how fast the spending adds up. The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card lets you earn on all of it.
Right now, new cardmembers can earn a $1,000 cash back bonus after spending $8,000 in the first 4 months from account opening. That's their highest welcome offer ever, and for most collectors moving product, that $8,000 threshold is just another month or two of doing what you're already doing.
On top of the bonus, you get unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase. No categories to track, no caps to hit. Cards, slabs, supplies, shipping, show travel. It all counts.
And here's the part that makes it a no-brainer: $0 annual fee, plus 0% intro APR on purchases for 12 months (then 16.74% - 24.74% Variable). That means if you spot a deal at a show or auction and need to move fast, you have 12 months to pay it off with zero interest.
If you’re looking to add a powerful card to your collection, consider applying for the Ink Business Unlimited Credit Card.
🏈 The 10 Most Valuable Football Cards, Ranked
From 30-cent packs to $4.3 million cards, football collectors have racked up some crazy numbers over the past few decades.
Collectibles.com just published a deep dive ranking the 10 most valuable football cards in the hobby, tracing each one from pack pull to peak sale with verified auction records, population data, and price histories.
The crown belongs to Patrick Mahomes. His 2017 National Treasures Platinum NFL Shield rookie patch auto, a true 1/1 with a game-worn shield patch, sold for $4.3 million in 2021. It's the most expensive football card ever sold. At #2, Tom Brady's 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket became the first football card to cross $1 million, then $2 million, then $3.1 million at Lelands. All in the same year. The print run? Just 100 copies.
The modern cautionary tale? Josh Allen at #4. His base Prizm PSA 10 peaked near $1,400 during the boom and now trades for about $100. His scarce parallels have pushed into six figures. The takeaway: with current-era cards, the print run matters more than the player.
Walter Payton, Joe Montana, Lawrence Taylor, and Barry Sanders round out the list. Read the full ranking at Collectibles.com.
✨ Kid Pulls First-Ever All-Gold God Pack from Pokémon Pitch Black
A young collector in Alberta, Canada just pulled something the Pokémon TCG community has never seen before: a pack containing 10 golden Mega Darkrai ex cards.
Ten Mega Hyper Rares, all gold, and all from a single pre-release pack of the upcoming Pitch Black set.
The internet's first reaction was predictable: "Fake," "Photoshopped," "AI-generated." Then the video surfaced, showing the kid laying each card down one by one as adults in the room screamed.
Each Mega Darkrai ex is currently valued around $750 ungraded. If they grade out as PSA 10s, the total could hit five figures. For a single pack. Pulled by a kid. On his birthday week.
Pitch Black officially launches July 17, so this happened at a pre-release event before the set even hit shelves. Manufacturing error packs do exist in the Pokémon TCG, but nothing at this scale has ever been documented. The hobby is still processing it.
🧱 LEGO Reveals Five New Pokémon Sets with First-Ever Minifigures
LEGO dropped its latest wave of Pokémon sets this week.
The lineup includes Munchlax ($69.99), Arcanine ($99.99), and Rayquaza ($129.99), all releasing August 1. But the real news arrives October 1: the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball ($299.99, 2,368 pieces) and an Up-Scaled Red Minifigure ($79.99, 930 pieces).
This wave introduces four Pokémon Trainer minifigures across two sets: the Rayquaza set includes Zinnia (August 1), while the Poké Ball features Professor Oak, a Picnicker, and Trainer Red (October 1).
Until now, LEGO deliberately avoided human minifigures in Pokémon sets. That philosophy is officially over.

Keith Olbermann's "Die-Cut Wagner," a heavily restored T206 Honus Wagner he'd been using as a paperweight, is heading to auction at Love of the Game. CGC graded it "Authentic, Restored." Before it hits the block, this is the same Wagner CGC is displaying at Fanatics Fest alongside the Mantle and Gretzky.
💡 The Bottom Line
In summary: Championships move markets. Brunson's jersey fetching seven figures shows what happens when a narrative finally pays off. And somewhere in Alberta, a kid is holding 10 golden Mega Darkrai ex cards and wondering what to do next. That's the hobby: unexpected pulls, big markets, and stories that sound made up until you see the video.
See you next week!
